Is that just a trial version that expires?

In the first post in this thread it's explained how to remove the trial limitation.
In my previous post I've confirmed that the method still works for Windows, so I expect it to still work for Mac as well.

You can, but that doesn't mean others can. I have already run it with administrator Maybe you should try to download the latest version from the official website and try again by VS Code on the latest version of windows 10

I'm on a Mac and downloaded directly from their site and then changed the file as instructed.

I got the Trash error message, so in Terminal typed

"xattr -cr /Applications/Pinegrow.app"
