The new update doesn't talk about the need to change the child theme so you don't need a 'new' child theme. Child themes should not me changed that's the hole point of them.

Read it two ways here. I could agree with @xsz and say that the child theme would hardly be updated at all, so you wouldn't need the 'latest' version of it. If he needs it like you have said @Kareem then best probably not to have put latest and just ask for it.

Anyways, @nivrito do you need the child theme for this?

Use the existing one from an older version in this thread, doubt the child theme would be updated.
