Now for your question - NVMe SSDs offer better read speed than normal SSDs. NVMe SSDs have a normal read speed of about 2000MB/s while SSDs have a speed of about 600MB/s and thus are faster this is because NVMe is a communication interface and storage protocol, not a storage media device i.e., at the end of the day the same SSD would store the data with a different connector.
One way to think of NVMe SSD and normal SSD would be to compare a HDD and an external HDD. The mounted HDD would perform better than one connected by a cable*. But overall there are a lot of different factors that affect page speed including location, caching, latency and even code. Practically if you were to have 2 identical sites in the same data center then NVMe would perform better.
