Edit: Ok got it, these affiliate credits will expire in 60 days and yours won't expire in time.

You don't have to apply anything, simply sign-up the $100 credits will be auto-applied.

Only thing is your account should be new and you should follow an affiliate link. You can find my affiliate link above or simple search for "Digital Ocean credits" on Google

They'll ask for credit card or PayPal and will charge you $5. You'll get the $5 back to your bank account after some time.

When I signed up they took $5 and gave back in few hours, 3 - 4 hours I think.

Yes mate, it's their policy to add a payment method to accept any credit
