There is no checklist for that you want to focus on these things
1. What is the app about (ex it's a social media app or its a tool app like video converter like that)
2. Know your Audience (ex what is the purpose of the app and who use the app ex: like if you are launching a dating app most of the user are 18 to 30 years old so you want to target these peoples no one from 80 use the dating app)
3. App design UI/UX experience (this is the main of all if your app look like garbage even you do ASO all the stuff no one gonna download if you are in the top and you gonna get more uninstall with a second after the user install)
4. Localization (if you app target german audience localize your app in german language and add german translation in play store or app store)
5. App icon and Screenshots (The first impression is the best impression 80% of users don't read description just saw the app icon and screenshot if it look more attractive they gonna install if it lool kike garbage they just gonna go to another app)
6. Keywords try to put keywords in relevance place don't overdo it (write for human not for bots it the main concept in ASO as well as SEO)
7.Receive feedback and Improve the product(always reply to the one-star review and ask them why they are not satisfied and try to improve that)
8.Spary and Pray (not every app hit the first place you want to gradually increase it may take some week to a month maybe a year but it definitely gonna rank if you do ASO correctly)
